A Branch of CJSC GK RusGasEngineering based in Turkmenistan took part in the 2nd International Gas Congress and associated Exhibition, which were held on May 25-27, 2011, at the AVAZA National Tourist Zone (city of Turkmenbashi). Above 500 delegations from 30 world countries participated in the Congress.
Mr. B. Khodjamukhammedov, Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers participated in the official congress opening ceremony; later, he jointly with Mr. B. Nedirov, Minister of Oil, Gas and Natural Resources, visited the Stand of Group of Companies RusGasEngineering. Vice-premier expressed his interest in the activities of the Group of Companies in the territory of Turkmenistan and suggested that they should be promoted while the operations of RusGasEngineering should be expanded, including in particular, an opportunity to deliver equipment. Meetings and discussions with TECHNIP, PetroGas (UAE), EXCON Steel (Check Republic), HYUDAI Engineering, LG Engineering, Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) LTD, Chevron and Schlumberger were held within the framework of the Congress.
Based on the results of participation in the Congress and Exhibition a meeting was scheduled with the Chairman of the Turkmen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TCIC), who is simultaneously the Chairman of the Turkmen-Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation. There was held a preliminary meeting with Mr. T. Moigeldyev, Head of a TCIC Department.
